Craftsmanship

Construction
With skill and care, we blend traditional hand craftsmanship with modern manufacturing methods. The result is unparalleled, durable custom-made casegoods and upholstery.
Upholstered frames are precisely cut and hand assembled. Double dowels are utilized in all structural parts to form sturdy, long lasting joints. To complete construction and add stability to the frame, large precisely cut corner blocks are positioned at each corner where the greatest stress occurs using both glues and screws. Spill channels are employed behind anti-microbial. moisture barrier decking to ensure any liquid spills travel safely through the frame and allow for easy cleaning and maintenance.
Polypropylene covering is used over the no-sag seat system and the elastic webbing backs as a protective shield and to provide a base for various filling materials. Generous layers of polyester batting and cotton are used in conjunction with urethane foam to achieve just the right contour and comfort. Lux utilizes high density foam cushions for seating to allow seniors better support and ease of getting in and out of upholstered goods.
Lux’s antimicrobial wood finish inhibits the growth of bacteria, and fungi that cause rot, deterioration, odors, stains and discolorations. In addition, our antimicrobial wood finish can be safely cleaned with products such as accelerated hydrogen peroxide to provide the safest environment for residents.
